Dual Swiss and US degree program
This program offers a dual-degree pathway delivered in collaboration between Helvetic Tech and Tiffin University. Upon successful completion, students are awarded a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Tiffin University, alongside a Swiss qualification delivered by Helvetic Tech.
The program combines the strengths of both institutions, integrating Swiss-based academic support and applied learning with an internationally recognized American degree. This structure allows students to benefit from a global academic framework while studying in Switzerland.
Through a blended learning model, students attend on-campus sessions at Helvetic Tech and complete selected coursework delivered by Tiffin University. This approach ensures both academic rigor and flexibility, while exposing students to diverse teaching methods and international standards.
Graduates of the program are equipped with qualifications that support both local and international career opportunities, as well as further academic progression.
Program learning outcomes
Upon completion of the program, students will have developed:
- A solid understanding of blockchain concepts and distributed technologies
- The ability to understand and work with decentralized systems
- Experience with key areas such as blockchain architecture, cryptographic principles, and distributed networks
- Problem-solving and analytical skills in technology-driven environments
- Practical experience through hands-on projects and applied learning
Program structure
The Bachelor’s program is a three-year program during which the student must obtain 135 credit hours | 180 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The three-year program structure comprises nine academic terms, with three terms per year (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Each term typically includes ten weeks of instruction and two weeks of examinations.
A standard course of study to complete the Bachelor of Science in Blockchain over three years requires the completion of core courses, electives, and a capstone project, combining coursework delivered by Helvetic Tech and Tiffin University.
The conferring of a degree follows only after completing the following requirements:
- Academic credit requirements – a minimum of 135 CH | 180 ECTS
- Students enrolled in the dual degree program with Tiffin University must also meet the specific TU conditions for graduation
Students may also have additional credit-earning opportunities, when available, through internships, applied projects, and participation in program-related activities aligned with their specialization.
Qualificationand degree classification
Graduation with honors will be recognized for the superior achievement of Helvetic Tech students at three levels:
- Cum laude – for graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 to 3.79
- Magna cum laude – for graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.80 to 3.99
- Summa cum laude – for graduates with a cumulative GPA of 4.00 or higher
